Yes, vacation ROCKS - it totally does. I love vacation! But this is a post about MAKING vacation rocks. My darling children collect rocks on vacation (lots of them) and then we get home and I really don't know what to do with them. This idea from Quarry Orchard is simple and meaningful. Mark the rocks with the city or country and date and then you will always remember that special moment. I'll have to pick out a couple to do this with and "discreetly" find a way to get rid of the dozens of others that the kids bring home. These rocks can be collected over the years and will bring back lots of happy memories. Nice idea, huh?

You could wrap these up individually in clear cellophane bags and tie with red or blue ribbon. What a fun project to do with the kids - or just surprise them with these yummy treats!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 1 bag (10-1/2 oz.) Miniature Marshmallows (6 cups)
- 6 cups crisp rice cereal
- 24 wooden popsicle sticks (optional)
- 1 tube each: red, white and blue decorating gels
- red, white and blue sprinkles
- Large star cookie cutter
- Line 13×9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. (Or just butter the pan like I do)
- Microwave butter in large microwavable bowl on high 45 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat. Microwave 1-1/2 min. or until marshmallows are completely melted, stirring after 45 sec. Add cereal; mix well. (or you can use your stove – melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook until marshmallows are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cereal; mix well.
- Press cereal mixture firmly onto bottom of prepared pan; cool.
- Remove cereal mixture from pan, using foil handles. Cut into star shapes, using large star-shaped cookie cutter. Insert wooden stick into side of each star to make star pops. Decorate with gels and sprinkles. Store in airtight container at room temperature.- Microwave butter in large microwavable bowl on high 45 sec. or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat. Free "Keep in Touch" Cards!
I made these "Please Keep in Touch Over the Summer" cards for my kids to hand out at school on the last day. But I am finding other uses for them now. They are meeting kids at sports camp, dance class, etc that they may never see again. Now, I keep a few of these in my purse to hand out if they want to keep in touch with a new friend. It has their name, phone number and my email address on it so a friend can stay in touch. I tied the cards onto lollipops for their end of school party but now we just use them as little "business cards". I wanted to share them with you guys - so feel free to print as many as you like! Make your Own Bubble Blowers!
I recently saw a post on HowDoesShe that I just had to try. The bubble blowers looked like such fun. Well, the kids and I tried them out yesterday and they were a huge hit! They worked much better than I thought they would! Here is the proof:

All you need are some water bottles, dish soap and some dish rags or other fabric. Here are 2 tips from experience:
- Make sure your kids know to "blow out" instead of "suck in". We had a slight incident :)
- Be sure to add water to the dish soap.
