It really is amazing what you can find in your own house or garage that can be used for home decor. Look around your home with a creative mind - could that stool or bench be used for something else? Could that dusty old shelf in the basement be revived with a fresh coat of paint? I have started doing this lately and I can't believe some of the stuff I have found. Jars make pretty vases, old art becomes new in a freshly painted frame. Before you go out and buy something new, take a look around and see if there is a different possibility right under your nose.
Jars make great vases and containers.
A chair becomes a side table.
A flag is displayed as fun wall art.
An old stool doubles as a entry-way table.

If you have a large blank wall that you don't know what to do with, consider framing up some wallpaper! Wallpaper comes in a wide variety and in all styles. And forget buying an expensive frame. Get some trim moulding cut to the proper size at Home Depot and paint it white. This makes for a dramatic (but inexpensive) piece of wall art. Cool, huh?
All you need are some branches from your yard and the free printable from Spagat's Blog and you will have a darling centerpiece for Easter morning. Put the branches in a vase and attach the eggs and bunnies with string. Super easy! Click HERE for the how-to.

We all have a ton of photos - either in a box, stored in the computer or still in the camera. It's time to get them out and up on the wall! But if you are like me, you get a bit overwhelmed with how to hang a "gallery" of pictures. Corea Sotropa Interior Design is here to help . They have put together some hints, photos and drawings to help us create the wonderful photo gallery that we have all dreamed of. Click here.
We have Legos everywhere. I find them in the bathroom, dryer and in my bed. My kids love Legos and they would sooo love this table. Angry Julie has turned a cheap side table from Ikea ($9.99) into this amazing LEGO table! LOVE it. You could use any cheap sturdy side table that you may have. This gives the kids an excellent place to build their creations and keep the Legos off the floor. And it's not hard to do - check it out HERE.

Ok - these are totally cool. I am always looking for something different to hang on the wall. The same ol' artwork in frames gets to be b.o.r.i.n.g. I came across this idea on a wedding site - yes, I am happily married but still look at wedding sites for creative ideas:) This is the coolest thing - vertical terrariums! I could see this in a little spot on the kitchen wall or in the bathroom. Just a touch of the unusual. I love it. It's simple and inexpensive to do. Get the directions at Ruffled.

Ok - I need to do this sooooo bad. Jen from Tatertots and Jello shows us how to makeover our makeup drawers with containers she found at the dollar store. My makeup drawer looks totally worse than the one pictured! It will feel so good to get this done. Who's with me? Click here for the how-to.
