Make Your Own Dryer Sheets!

Here is another household item that we can make ourselves and save a few bucks. Over a year, save a lot of bucks! Here are several alternatives for making your own dryer sheets:

1: Pour equal parts fabric softener and water into a jar, shake, and add basic kitchen sponges cut in half. Squeeze out a sponge, throw it in the dryer, and walla – reusable dryer sheets. Just throw the sponges back in the jar when the load is done. This will last a looong time.

2: Put liquid fabric softener into an old, cleaned out spray bottle. Spray 4 to 6 sprays on a rag and tumble with clothes in dryer as usual.

3: Mix 1 cup fabric softener with 2 cups water in spray bottle. Spray 4 to 6 sprays on a rag and tumble with clothes in dryer as usual.

4: Mix 1 part hair conditioner and 1 part water in spray bottle. Spray 4 to 6 sprays on a rag and tumble with clothes in dryer as usual.

5: Fill spray bottle with vinegar. You can add a few drops of essential oil to the vinegar if desired. Spray 4 to 6 sprays on a rag and tumble with clothes in dryer as usual.

6: Soak an old washcloth in liquid fabric softener. Ring out excess softener and then lie flat to dry. Toss dried cloth in dryer as needed. You’ll be able to reuse your cloth about 12 times before you’ll need to wash the cloth and re-soak in fabric softener.
Tip for 2-5 : Wash rag occasionally to remove buildup.
