Easy Gravy Recipe

Normally, I would use pan drippings for making gravy, but today I didn't have any. I was skeptical how gravy would turn out only using chicken stock, but I found this recipe and thought I would give it a try. It's delicious! So easy and fast. My kids (and hubby) like gravy on mashed potatoes so now I can make this in a pinch! I always have chicken broth in the pantry.

Here is the recipe:
3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Melt the butter, then add the flour and blend thoroughly. Slowly add the broth, salt and pepper and blend until mixture thickens. Serve. Makes 1 cup.
